Full-Stack Software Engineer

At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they're entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at CSS, you'll be an integral part of our data-driven development team, contributing to the evolution of cutting-edge external and internal tools. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain back-end and some web front-end components of our software; back-end for our web-based and mobile interfaces
- Code Contribution: Write, debug, maintain, and test code for diverse projects
- Architectural Design: Design scalable systems with a focus on architecture
- Data-Driven Development: Contribute to a data-centric development team
- Project Planning: Engage in strategic planning for various services and applications
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and test software using agile methodologies
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a team to enhance and support technology
- Innovation: Drive innovation within the team and support CSS' technological advancements
- High energy rapid software development, iterating and pivoting quickly
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience: 5 years minimum of the domain experience
- Individual Contribution: A track record of significant contributions in previous roles, showcasing your ability to make a meaningful impact
- Strong ability to design and create long-lasting architecture from scratch and evolve existing systems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Expertise with Java (BE Development) and Typescript or React (FE Development)

- Disrupting the restaurant industry: You'll be part of a team that helps restaurants succeed in online food delivery

This role is based in our Mountain View office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we're in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you're constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we're better as a team in person.
