POSITION TITLE: Pediatrician CLASSIFICATION: Full-time 32-36 hours per week; Non-exempt COMPENSATION: Physician range: $98 - 105/hour Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistance: $55 - 65/hour REPORTS TO: Chief Medical Officer BENEFITS INCLUDE: Pediatric Outpatient Clinic Services Only No Hospital Rounding Group Practice After Hours Nurse Triage Line Available No on call schedule 16-20 Patients Per Day 32-36 Clinic Hours Per Week Summary of Position: Inner City Health (ICH) is a multi-disciplinary family medicine practice with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Family Medicine Physicians seeing patients of all ages. The ideal candidate must actively support the clinic's mission: to model Christ's love by loving and serving our neighbors through comprehensive, quality health care. This will involve modeling a mission centered service attitude, being professional and courteous and providing excellent customer service experience to all who enter the clinic, including substance use disorders, mental illness, acute and chronic illnesses, and homelessness. The provider must also excel at teamwork, communication, and flexibility The Pediatrician at Inner City Heath provides medical care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults; usually 18 and under. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of health conditions, monitoring growth and development, and offering guidance on proper nutrition, immunizations, and preventive care. ICH's Pediatrician will work closely with families to ensure the health and well-being of their patients from infancy through young adulthood. Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Perform comprehensive physical examinations on infants, children, and adolescents to assess their health and development. 2. Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health conditions specific to children. 3. Monitor growth and development milestones to ensure that children are progressing normally. 4. Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions, such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, and infections. 5. Prescribe medications, therapies, or lifestyle modifications as necessary to manage health conditions. 6. Provide emergency care and referrals to specialists when needed for more complex conditions. 7. Prescribe vaccinations and ensure patients are up to date with the recommended immunization schedule. 8. Perform in-office procedures such as incision and drainage, catheterization for urinalysis, manual cerumen removal, etc. 9. Educate parents, families and caregivers on preventive health measures, including proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and safety practices. 10. Offer support and advice on mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. 11. Collaborate with schools, social workers, and community organizations to support the holistic well-being of children. Summary of Skills Required: 1. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. 4. Strong organizational and time management skills. 5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. 6. Demonstrates the ability to function in a culturally diverse clinical setting 7. Collaborates with other providers and clinical staff to develop continual quality improvement procedures and provide quality patient- centered care. 8. Manages sensitive information ethically and responsibly. 9. Possesses knowledge of the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Education and/or Experience: Education: o Physician: Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Board Certified in Pediatrics (or eligible for certification) Have/will complete Pediatric Residency o Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician Assistant Pediatric fellowship and/or 5 years of clinically relevant experience Licensure: Valid and active medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
