Unit 4N is an award-winning adult medical oncology unit that includes 24 private rooms. Our unit provides nursing care to medical and oncology patients in all phases of their disease process, including initial diagnosis, treatment, recurrence, and palliative and hospice care. Our care delivery model is to provide family-centered care and team up with other healthcare providers and departments for quality patient care and outcomes. The department encourages professional development by participation in monthly education programs. Obtaining specialty certifications, ADVANCE Professional Ladder and attending national conferences.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
