The Warranty Analyst processes and administer warranty from manufacturers.

Wages

The Warranty Analyst's starting wage will depend on experience and education $18.50 - $25.25

Responsibilities

The Warranty Analyst's essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review warranty work orders to verify allowed warranty coverage and process warranty claims to manufacturers within required warranty guidelines and timeframe.
  • Create and track requests for additional data sent to service shops prior to filing the warranty claim.
  • Access various online resources as part of the claiming process.
  • Use equipment and repair information to create manufacturer warranty claim.
  • Review repair story and other repair elements to make sure they support the warranty claim
  • Provide support for the parts department related to parts warranty claims.
  • Follow up with parts departments to ensure parts return completion.
  • Act as a resource for warranty information. Maintain good working relationship with Parts, Service, Sales and Accounting.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years administrative experience- data entry, telephone, reading/writing
  • 2+ years' experience of processing warranty claims, service writer, or service coordinator preferred
