Job Title: Assembly Technician (17/hr) Job Description As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling electromechanical assemblies, hand soldering wires to electrical connectors and PCBs, and maintaining production documentation. You will function as a key team member, ensuring that all production tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Function as a participating team member. Hand solder wires to electrical connectors and PCBs. Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required. Review and complete required production documentation. Update job status in EPICOR Systems as required. Maintain a safe and orderly work area. Perform related duties as required. Essential Skills Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception. Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fractions of an inch. Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools including a soldering iron. Ability to read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions. Comprehend written and verbal assignments. Ability to work as a team member in a diverse work environment. Advanced soldering and repair/rework skills. Ability to use solder extractor tools. Basic computer skills, accurate with data entry. Good math skills with the ability to count and measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in hand soldering of various types including solder cups, J-Hook, and through hole. Proficient in most on-the-job training (OJT) processes in at least two production areas. Successful completion of OJT crimp training. Successful completion of ESD and solder training (if required). Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions. Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a moderately noisy production environment primarily sitting but may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role involves using soldering irons and other tools, and documenting work on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. Sensory requirements include vision, speech, hearing, smell, and touch. The shift is Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Meridian, Idaho.
