SummaryThe Faculty Physician provides clinical patient care and is responsible to teach and advise residents enrolled in Lee Healths Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Faculty Physicians are expert competency evaluators who work closely with the Program Director and the Associate Program Director in developing and implementing the resident evaluation system. The Faculty Physicians are role models of professionalism and demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of safe, quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care.
Requirements Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/Preferred and/or M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) Required or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) Required Additional Requirements Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required/
Preferred and/or 1 Year Preferred
1 year of successful academic experience in graduate medical education preferred.

Current active and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine as applicable, in the State of Florida.
Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/Registrations Required/Preferred and/or
Current certification in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
Other RequirementsMust meet all of the requirements for core faculty members set forth in the Accreditation Counsel for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Internal Medicine Prefer educational and administrative experience
