The Opportunity

  • Seeking Emergency Department/Urgent Care Center physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • One (1) year of EM experience preferred.
  • Current national certification, DEA, ACLS, and BLS are preferred.
  • Current IL state license is a plus.

The Practice

Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee, Illinois

  • 169-bed facility and Level II Trauma Center with ED volume of 28,000.
  • STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center, Cath Lab for Interventional Cardiology, and Nationally Recognized Heart Failure Program.
  • 22-bed Emergency Department with Vituity scribe support.
  • Onsite Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and Labor and Delivery Unit right across from ED.
  • On-site coverage in orthopedics, neurosurgery, surgery, radiology and more.

  • Located just an hour south of Chicago, it is a quick drive into the larger Chicago metropolis.
  • The Kankakee River is the heart of the city, providing fishing and water sport activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
