- Daily coverage 8-4:30; call after this for two campuses for Interventional call coverage.
- 24/7 call, daily coverage
- Looking for two FTE's to cover 4 hospitals (2 each) for cath lab coverage and call
- Can be flexible with local interventional cardiologists for call coverage or back up call
- Setting: Hub and spoke model with Hub being academic medical center with 3 other cath lab facilities. Job is broken up into covering 2 hospitals each for call and other interventional duties for covering inpatient cardiac catheterizations, outpatient cardiac catheterizations and the possibility of some rounding coverage (with an APP provider) and the possibility of some ambulatory visits
- Duties: Primarily cardiac catheterizations, interventional coverage. IP/OP diagnostic cardiac catheterization, PCI's, STEMI call.
- FTE: Two separate cases for 1.0 FTE.
- Required Procedures: PCI, diagnostic cardiac cath, Impella, angioplasty and stenting procedures. STEMI call and coverage. Pericardiocentesis. Temp pacers. Right heart cath
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: cath lab staff. Inpatient rounds would be with APP support
- Reason for Coverage: Two IC's leaving for structural fellowship and to become a program director. IC new hire starting later this year. This is to bridge the coverage gap and help with call
- Admissions per day, Patients/day, Types of cases, Disclosures that may need to be made, etc. There will be duties split between existing cardiologists and this cardiologist, but this primarily is for cath lab coverage and call. Inpatient census typically less than 15 at 3 facilities, greater than 20 at hub hospital. Would not round at hub hospital. Possibly round at outside hospital, but primary responsibility is cath lab coverage and call. Some possible rounds at facilities. 5 caths per day at most. I can provide STEMI volumes and more specific volumes in phone call
- Must be Board Certified
- Active IA/NE License or IMLC Accepted
- Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Required
- Must have ACLS, BLS, DEA
