Our client is a leading research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatment options for diseases and conditions lacking satisfactory solutions. The company is looking for a Veterinarian specializing in laboratory animal medicine to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research and make a meaningful impact
Location : Ridgefield, CT
Pay : $90/hr
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive veterinary medical and surgical care to laboratory animals.

Develop and implement IACUC protocols and guidelines for animal care and use.
-
Conduct preventive health monitoring and ensure the welfare of the animal colony.

Offer training and verification for animal users, ensuring compliance with AAALAC and GLP standards.

Respond to IACUC concerns promptly and professionally.

Mentor junior staff and participate in their training and development.

Conduct environmental monitoring to maintain optimal living conditions for animals.
Qualifications:
-
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) required.

Licensed in a U.S. state (required) with eligibility for licensing in Connecticut; ACLAM certification preferred.

Experience in a research animal facility or pharmaceutical environment (toxicology) is a plus.
-
Strong knowledge of animal handling and care protocols.
