Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Die Cutter Machine: Ensure that printed materials meet customer specifications by effectively operating the die cutter machine. Troubleshoot and monitor machine operations to maintain high quality.
  • Prepare Die Cutter: Adjust dies and registers to ensure accurate pressure and cutting, producing consistent and high-quality products.
  • Make Ready Tasks: Perform tasks to enhance productivity and precision, resolving defects and making necessary adjustments to ensure superior product quality.
  • Oversee Technicians: Lead and support general technicians working with the equipment, ensuring efficient and effective make-ready processes.
  • Quality Control: Review jobs to ensure accuracy and quality, meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Complete required checklists and adhere to ISO standards and quality objectives.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all OHSE policies, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to company safety and personal protection policies.
  • Communication: Engage respectfully and professionally with team members and co-workers, supporting excellent performance through clear and accurate communication.
  • Leadership: Create a high-performance environment with strong leadership and a focus on team orientation. Motivate and train team members to achieve goals and deliver results.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma (or GED).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience with die cutting in the folding carton industry.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with die cutters that include blanking capability.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Additional Skills: Basic computer and math skills for calculating percentages, weights, and measures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and engage in other physical activities for extended periods. Frequent lifting of over 60 lbs is required. Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are essential. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and exceed 40 hours per week as needed.
