Job Title: Pilot Plant / R & D OperatorJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Pilot Plant Operator to join our team in Winter Haven, FL. In this role, you will spend 60-70% of your time in a lab setting performing distillations on a pilot/smaller scale, running samples to the lab, working with Gas Chromatography machines, distillations, and blending raw materials, specifically citrus oils. You will use general lab instruments such as beakers, pH testing machines, and GC machines, and document your testing in Excel and Word. The other 30-40% of your time will be spent in a manufacturing setting, some parts of which are non-climate controlled. You will be required to wear full PPE, run large batches through machines, work with distillation columns, and monitor them via computer. Additionally, you will run the packaging line about four times a month, which may involve filling/capping, operating the machine, or stacking the product. Shifts are as follows: - Day Shift: 5am-5pm - Night Shift: 5pm-5am You will work on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, with about 4-6 hours of overtime automatically included. Additional overtime may be required. Starting pay is dependent on experience. You will be primarily in a climate-controlled lab but sometimes required to work outside in the heat or in a non-climate controlled environment. The specific department consists of 4 people, but you will be working with around 15 people throughout different departments.
