Jewelry Television - Senior Broadcast Production Supervisor

The Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast oversees the full live show technical team, including Directors, Graphics, Cameras and Media Specialists. The Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast is responsible for scheduling, staffing, training and the development of the team to maintain the highest production standards. The Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast will also direct shows as needed.

This role requires relocation to the Knoxville, Tennessee area.

The Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast must lead by example, manage and maintain developmental investment in members of the production team. It is imperative that the Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast be capable of effectively developing their team through performance appraisal processes, while also managing any employee relations issues or concerns that may arise.

As Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast of a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week live studio environment, the Production Manager must be a leader, with good communication skills and a keen ability to think strategically and react quickly in an ever-changing environment. They must have solid technical skills and excellent dependability, as well as a willingness to adapt to the needs of the show. The Senior Production Supervisor - Broadcast should stay up to date on the changes taking place technologically as well as new production methods and opportunities for increasing efficiency and production value.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall supervision of the Broadcast Production staff and on-air output within a 24/7 live environment
• Oversee schedule assignments of the Television Production staff
• Handle weekly payroll
• Write and administer performance evaluations of Directors, Technical Directors, Assistant Directors, Graphics Operators and Production Technicians & oversee administration of evaluations for all staff within the department
• Communicate and develop blocking for studio cameras working in conjunction with the Lighting Director
• Coordinate with Training Supervisor to invest in new employees as well as mentoring experienced crew
• Coordinate backfilling crew call offs and help ensure coverage for live show
• Write disciplinary actions from verbal warnings to terminations
• Conduct interviews and hire new production personnel
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all elements are ready for upcoming shows
• Direct live shows as needed
