Summary

Collects and edits of GIS data and City owned infrastructure/assets for the required departments. Inputs collected data into database using GPS Equipment and ESRI AcrGIS software. Collects grade elevations for other City departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collects GPS point features related to City infrastructure
  • Assesses condition of City infrastructure such as signs, sewer manholes, drainage inlets, and Solid Waste containers. Locates missing or mis-mapped infrastructure information and field verifies infrastructure information
  • Inputs collected data into GIS database and responds to mapping requests as needed
  • Follows City financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Computer Aided Design, GIS or related field
  • One year experience in GIS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience with ESRI ArcGIS software
  • Experience with GPS technology or survey work
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Valid driver's license
