Job Summary:

Perform inspections, visual checks, documentation review, data entry, test, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts, components used in the manufacturing of pressure transducers. Additionally, perform various tasks related to the quality function.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection of finished machined parts and all mechanical measurements.
  • Perform in-process measurements to ensure parts are manufactured per specifications.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product as well as all quality related inspection requirements.
  • Participate in Quality investigations.
  • Works safely and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Participates in team activities including LEAN projects and activities and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform inspection of documents to ensure all incoming parts meet requirements.
  • Other assignments as required.
  • Infrequent travel required.
Competencies Required:
  • Working knowledge of mechanical measuring.
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.
  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
  • Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required.
  • Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing work instructions.
  • Self motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in Quality Control, receiving inspection.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • High school diploma or GED. Associates degree is preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: The daily physical requirements for this position are broken down as follows: CONTINUOUS (75-100% of shift): Sitting, standing, and remaining awake and alert at all times. FREQUENT (25-75% of shift): Walking, bending, and climbing stairs. OCCASIONAL (1-25% of shift): Stooping, twisting, squatting, and reaching above shoulders.
