Vascular Technologist II

Under general guidance and supervision, the vascular technologist performs noninvasive diagnostic procedures to detect vascular disease. The technologist will conduct vascular testing including duplex ultrasound examinations, pulse volume recordings, segmental Doppler pressure measurements, and treadmill stress studies. Additionally, the role involves reporting findings of exams to medical staff, performing patient assessment, and providing basic patient care. The technologist is also responsible for training students, residents, and staff when necessary, as well as completing all necessary daily laboratory procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Successful completion of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography registry examination in Vascular Technology and Vascular Ultrasound Principles
  • Minimum of five years experience in a vascular laboratory or two years experience in a vascular laboratory plus five years experience in a general ultrasound department

  • Ability to analyze ultrasound and plethysmographic data and report findings
