We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freight Business Development Agent to join our Muncie, IN team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales and logistics, with a passion for identifying new business opportunities and fostering long-term relationships with customers. As a Freight Business Development Agent, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth by designing effective partner-specific logistics solutions, maintaining a portfolio of customers, and scaling existing customer accounts. Responsibilities: Identify and Target Prospects: Research and identify potential customers in need of freight and logistics services. Develop and execute strategies to approach and secure new business opportunities. Sales and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Use this information to inform sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities. Prepare Proposals and Presentations: Highlight the benefits of our services. Present solutions to customers and negotiate contracts to close deals. Collaborate: Work with internal logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Arrange Face-to-Face Meetings: Identify key decision makers and arrange face-to-face meetings where applicable. Use these meetings to identify organic growth opportunities with the customer. Qualifications: Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role within the freight and logistics industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Provide high level verbal and written communication. Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
