Boomerang Healthcare is offering an exciting Pain Management Fellowship opportunity in our clinic in Walnut Creek, CA. This program is designed to provide advanced training in the comprehensive care of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, integrating the latest in interventional and pharmacologic therapies, and developing multidisciplinary treatment approaches. Fellows will work closely with leading experts in the field and will gain exposure to a diverse patient population with a wide range of pain-related conditions.

Fellowship Objectives

  • Develop expertise in diagnosing and managing complex pain syndromes.
  • Gain proficiency in a variety of interventional procedures, including epidural injections, nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and other advanced techniques.
  • Engage in clinical research projects aimed at advancing pain management practices and improving patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in educational opportunities, including case conferences, journal clubs, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under supervision, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Perform interventional pain procedures in a supervised setting, gaining independence as experience and competency increase.
  • Conduct research projects related to pain management, presenting findings at conferences or in publications as appropriate.
  • Engage in teaching activities, providing education to residents, medical students, and other trainees as part of the fellowship program.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited residency program in anesthesiology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Board eligible or certified in a relevant specialty.
  • Demonstrated interest in pain management through previous clinical or research experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Program is not ACGME Accredited
