The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance of facility-related equipment, buildings, parking lots, and property. This role supports all areas of the facility, including production departments, office areas, bathrooms, and cafeterias. The Maintenance Technician ensures the environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on property, including offices, production areas, public spaces, and equipment.
  • Complete daily standard work task lists and event reports.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of both the office area and production floor.
  • Empty trash in both production and office areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and clean floors using commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain and disinfect restrooms, replenish paper supplies, and clean windows.
  • Order, track, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, including parking lots and outdoor waste bins.
  • Shovel snow and apply salt as needed to complement external services.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and painting.
  • Assist other departments as needed, under the supervisor's direction.
  • Follow safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, aprons, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Participate in 5S projects and maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the facility.
  • Handle small amounts of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, such as cleaning agents, solvents, and oils.
  • Assist in fire and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Perform waste disposal, including hazardous materials, and maintain inventory levels.
