Physical Therapy Supervisor

The Physical Therapy Supervisor assists the Director of Therapy Operations in managing day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills for building relationships, and expertise in evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment in the licensed discipline. The Physical Therapy Supervisor is responsible for delegating and supervising tasks, coordinating staffing and scheduling, providing orientation and training, and maintaining communication with hospital departments. This role also includes providing patient care in the licensed discipline for 80% - 90% of work hours and helping staff improve their clinical skills through mentoring.

Qualifications:

  • Current State license as a Physical Therapist
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited therapy program
  • Minimum of three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with no less than 2 years being clinical
  • Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certification, preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication, fluency in English
  • Information ordering, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision

Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure
  • Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required
  • Handicapped accessible
