The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's Physician's Group is hiring a Registered Nurse for our float pool. The float pool provides coverage to clinics across the metro Kansas City area. Float schedules can be aligned with clinics closet to a candidates preferred location.
You will have the opportunity to float in any or all of the following region(s):
South Region - includes Mission Farms Multispecialty Clinic, Blue Valley Primary Care and the clinics on the SLS Campus.
East Region - includes clinics on/near the SLE campus, Blue Springs Multispecialty Clinic and Independence
Central Region - includes clinics on/near the SLH campus
North Region - includes clinics on/near the SLN campus, Cushing campus clinics in Leavenworth, Parkville, Smithville, Shoal Creek Multispecialty Clinic, Platte City Multispecialty Clinic
The Shift:
Monday through Friday day shift 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No Holidays, No Weekends
The Work:
- Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
- Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow and coordination of patient care.
- Schedules patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, provides advice and recommendations, medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need.
- Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
- Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation and documentation of patient care and testing.
- Enter orders as directed by a provider.
- Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
- May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant and LPN duties.
- Our leadership supports nurse engagement and allows their voices to be heard.
- We value our nurses' knowledge, experience, and expertise to improve patient outcomes and quality care.
