School Nurse-Special Education for the School Year

Education/License:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; a BSN (Bachelor of Science Degree in School Nursing) and a PHN (Public Health Nurse) is preferred
• Current RN (Registered Nurse) license from the California Board of Registered Nurses
• Certificate in Healthcare Provider-CPR

Experience:
• One (1) year unsupervised work as a school nurse preferred

Credential/Certifications:
• A valid California School Nurse Services Credential
• Certification as a School Audiometrist
• Certification as BLS (Basic Life Support and CPR) instructor or be willing to obtain at SCOE's expense

1) A completed signed and dated online Edjoin application
2) A letter describing personal qualifications and reason (s) for interest in the position
3) Three (3) letters of recommendation
4) A copy of a valid California School Nurse Services Credential, certification as a School Audiometrist,
certification as BLS (Basic Life Support and CPR) instructor and current RN (Registered Nurse) license from the California Board of Registered Nurses
5) A Resume

Other requirements:
-Must be fingerprinted and a satisfactory Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation records checks must be received by the Sonoma County Office of Education, prior to employment.
-Proof of TB test will be required upon employment.
