MidLevel Front End Developer HYBRID

Job Description

***The Front-End Developer will primarily maintain and improve our marketing website, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, visually polished web pages. You'll bring designer mockups to life while writing clean, reusable, and efficient code. You'll also contribute to our Vue.js tracking application, collaborating with the development team on new features and UI enhancements — so experience with a modern front-end framework (such as Vue, React, or Angular) is important. Basic familiarity with at least one backend language is preferred so that you can work with our backend Golang server code when needed.

Rapidly growing software company in San Fernando, CA (over 15,000 companies use our GPS tracking software) is looking to add a mid-level Developer to our team.

The position is an IN-OFFICE position, and after a couple of months getting grooved in it will move to a HYBRID position, with two days required in the office per week.

We'd like to add a developer with enough experience that you'll be comfortable jumping straight into the saddle - but also someone who is interested in CONSTANTLY LEARNING AND IMPROVING and SELF-MONITORING with excellent QUALITY CONTROL ON YOUR OWN WORK. We want a developer who is RESPONSIBLE and will add amazing code and feedback and teamwork to the company.

We primarily code in Golang / Vue.js and MySQL.

If you've already learned multiple languages, switching to Golang should not be too hard. We've had many developers switch over and if they have object-oriented programming experience, it's pretty straightforward.

Testing for this position will include testing on a back-end language like Go or C# or Java or Python and a front-end language like JS.

The job will grow, and you need to be ready to grow with it. We want you to grow into a senior developer during your time here, and become an indispensable part of our small team.

Our growing, yet small team of highly skilled developers, consists of several who started straight out of college, and have grown to undisputed medium to senior developer status. We have amazing contributors who've joined straight out of code camp, and others with decades of prior experience. Our developers are able to make personal progress on their skills and mastery while building the software that is currently used by thousands and thousands of paying customers, who are all overjoyed with the product.

We're now ready to take on more developers, to each work with one of our highly skilled developers on site in our Los Angeles office (in the city of San Fernando).

We're doing most of our development in Golang, Vue.js (Vuetify library), MySQL, using AWS servers, and are almost done replacing a legacy PHP system, but familiarity with PHP would still be a plus.

Most important is that you have skill and experience with software development, understanding of core concepts, experience working with these different languages, a burning desire to continue learning and master your craft, and are able to play nice with others.
