Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Status: Per Diem

Shift: DAY SHIFT (must be able to work two (2) weekend days per month, 8am-4pm)

Position Summary

Summary:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing timely, caring, appropriate, and skilled physical therapy intervention by evaluating/assessing, planning, goal setting, providing treatment and assessing the patient's response to treatment for patients of all ages. The Physical Therapist, working as a member of the interdisciplinary team collaborates and coordinates treatment plan and goals with other disciplines including Nurses, Physicians, et al.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of an accredited college degree program in Physical therapy.
• Entry level Bachelor's or Master's degree

Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• BLS recommended for inpatient PT.
• BLS required for SMART Center PT.

License/Certifications
• New York State license in Physical Therapy

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Moving in multiple positions (sitting, squatting, reaching).
• Able to lift, move and assist patients with physical therapy.
