Pediatric Social Worker (Clinical)
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated ambulatory pediatric social worker to provide clinical social work services at the Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in the Longwood Medical Center location. The position involves psychosocial assessment and intervention, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to reduce cancer-related distress and improve quality of life.
Candidates will provide in-person and telehealth services to patients and families, including individual, family, and group work. The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, academic medical environment where the social worker is a valued member of the multidisciplinary medical team.
- Master's Degree in Social Work from accredited program
- Massachusetts license (LCSW or LICSW)
- Previous experience in health care setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to respond to psychosocial needs across a broad spectrum of patient ages
- Strong patient engagement and clinical assessment skills
- Crisis intervention and treatment skills
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Understanding of systemic inequities and commitment to diversity and equity efforts
Schedule:
M-F; 40 hours/week
Hybrid schedule 4 days on-site/1 day remote
