Key Responsibilities
- Patient Support: Assist in conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement and guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and interventions to enhance their mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including PTs, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly observe and document patients' progress, reporting any changes to the supervising PT and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to continue rehabilitation at home and maintain progress.
- Compliance: Ensure all treatments and procedures are performed in accordance with outpatient clinic policies and regulatory standards.
- Experience: Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in South Carolina or a compact license.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
