Job Description The Plant Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our concrete manufacturing facility. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities to oversee all aspects of plant operations. The Plant Engineer will report directly to the Plant Manager and collaborate closely with other team members to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, batch plants, and material handling systems. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule routine inspections, repairs, and replacements to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly to prevent production delays. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate plant processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, energy efficiency, and cost reduction. Implement changes to operating procedures, equipment configurations, or automation systems to enhance overall efficiency and quality of concrete production. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze production data to identify trends and address performance issues proactively. Regulatory Compliance: · Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations governing concrete manufacturing operations. · Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices to ensure the plant meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. · Work closely with regulatory agencies and participate in audits or inspections as necessary. Project Management: Lead or participate in plant improvement projects, such as equipment upgrades, process modifications, or facility expansions. Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and coordinate resources to ensure successful execution and timely completion. Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and management, addressing any challenges or deviations from the plan. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus. Proven experience in a similar role within the concrete manufacturing industry or a related heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, equipment maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, with experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels of the organization. Requirements PLC, VFD, Knowledge in Process controls instruments, sensors & Transmitters( Proximity Switches, Limit Switches, Encoders, PT100/RTD’s, Pressure Transducers, Load cell & flow meters Etc..), Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and frequency drives, Hand-on experience in Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical Valves, and actuator installation and maintenance
