The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Packer, working in Manufacturing industry in Brookfield, Illinois, United States.
Our Client has immediate opening for a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Packer which is conveniently located in Hodgkins, IL. This role plays a crucial part in our operations, as it directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of our distribution process.
Our current openings are on the 2nd [4:00PM-12:30AM], with schedules that offer improved work-life balance. Salary is up to $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Review pick tickets to determine the items to be packed and the quantities required.
- Retrieve items from designated storage areas, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect items for quality and freshness, discarding any damaged or spoiled products.
- Pack items into designated containers or packaging materials, following specific instructions and guidelines.
- Label containers with accurate product information, including batch numbers and expiration dates.
- Ensure that packed items are arranged securely to prevent damage during transit. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with inventory or packing materials to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Experience Required for Your Success
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing role preferred
- Must speak English Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory
- Physical stamina to lift and move items as required
- Familiarity with refrigerated or perishable goods handling is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
