Primary Position Objectives
With minimal direction, prepares product for shipment as specified by customer requirements
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Description of Duties
Packing Product
- Responsible for packing a wide variety of parts
- Uses own judgment when packing product to avoid damage or tangling in transit.
- Determine appropriate size box and packing material.
- Prepares product for shipment as required (i.e. proper container, stapling, taping, banding, etc).
- Labels according to customer requirements
- Maintains required records and assigns Lot number to batch of parts
- Required to match paperwork to boxes received Is required to record daily packed orders in GUI terminal
- Observes Company processes and makes recommendations for improvement
- Participates in Lean Projects
- Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Participates in Lean Projects.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Education & Experience
- High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Familiarity with shipping paperwork.
- Familiarity with wrapping and strapping techniques
- Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and to inspect parts.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending. Must use correct lifting techniques.
- Lifts up 35 lbs. (unassisted) 90% of time. 36-50 lbs. (assisted) 10% of the time.
