About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist at Columbine Therapy Services, you will:

  • Evaluate patients upon referral, develop personalized treatment programs, and adjust plans based on ongoing assessment and progress.
  • Demonstrate therapeutic exercises, instruct patients and families in home programs, and supervise care provided by assistants, students, and volunteers.
  • Communicate with physicians, families, and the care team regarding treatment plans and patient status, and participate in related conferences.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensure clinical competency through continuing education, and assist with staff training and department maintenance.
  • Conduct screenings for long-term care residents and upholds a 75% productivity standard.

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of accredited school of Occupational Therapy required.
  • Current Occupational Therapy DORA license and NBCOT license required.
  • Experience in geriatrics and long-term care preferred.

Skills:

  • Clinical Evaluation and Assessment: Ability to assess patients' physical and mental capabilities and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Therapeutic Techniques: Knowledge of various therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and intervention strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in explaining treatment plans clearly to patients and families and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Skills to identify patient needs, modify treatment plans, and find solutions to complex health issues.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accuracy in maintaining detailed patient records and tracking progress.
  • Teaching and Instruction: Ability to educate patients and caregivers about exercises, techniques, and home programs.

Our Total Rewards package includes a starting wage of $48.50/hr., along with a weekend shift differential.
