Outreach Specialist

The Outreach/Intake Specialist will build relationships with various community partners with the goal of working to advance community understanding of the WIOA program and increase program engagement. The Outreach Specialist will establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, provide presentations, attend outreach events at community locations, conduct WIOA orientations and eligibility determination of applicants into the program.
Job Description
- Builds relationships with various community partners and participate in community events
- Conduct and attend community events, job fairs, resource fairs, onsite recruitment and outreach events as directed by the Project Director
- Develop promotional material and content to provide to employers explaining the program and agency
- Meet / exceed monthly enrollment goals
- Research and outreach to employers, specifically those who are doing layoffs or office closures
- Provide WIOA program information to clients to recruit volunteer participants and enroll current referrals
- Coordinates with team to enroll clients to ensure job placement goals are met each month
- Ensures that the employer and community outreach databases are updated each week
- Document all outreach efforts and report information to Project Director on a monthly basis
- Prepares a report of weekly activities to include progress toward achieving monthly goals and objectives
- Conduct WIOA Information Session Orientation
- Meet with clients to discuss programs and services and complete eligibility determination
- Maintain registration and enrollment schedule
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or related field. An equivalent combination of acceptable related experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis for the education requirement
Demonstrate ability to give presentations to both small and large groups
Social Media skills and experience with animation software or Photoshop is a plus
Must be computer literate and proficient with Excel and have the ability to work in other data base tracking systems
Strong comprehension, verbal communication, and customer service skills and able to meet deadlines on a timely basis
Ability to function effectively under pressure, remain professional and work well in a team setting
Bilingual a plus

This position starts at a firm hourly rate of $21.01/hr.
Travel 20-25%. Must have valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and must meet company driving standards.
Attend outreach events meet with employers in Milwaukee County and surrounding areas, which may require evening and weekend hours. Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, deskwork, and extensive data entry requires; work primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours may be required; interacts one on one and in groups with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
