Full-Time Public Health Nurse position available, 32-40 hours/week. Salary range $22-$25 per hour; contingent on qualifications and experience. Fringes include PERS, Mandatory Medicare, Workers Compensation, paid vacation and sick leave after probationary period. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be licensed registered nurse pursuant to Section 4723.13 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bachelor level degree preferred. A valid Ohio driver's license with ongoing proof of auto insurance. Current CPR certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Working Knowledge of MS Word and Excel software; ability to learn agency software programs. Ability to operate various office equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide a variety of public health nursing services within the Clinton County community such as: • Provide pediatric and adult immunizations. • Investigate infectious diseases and promote infection prevention strategies in the community to prevent diseases. For example, food or waterborne illness, vaccine preventable diseases, and other diseases that impact the health of the community. • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to improve immunization rates. • Assist with school nursing duties. • Assist children with chronic health issues to connect with their physician and navigate their healthcare needs. • Provide CPR instruction to the community. • Provide education on various health topics to the public. • Participate as requested in the event of a public health emergency. • Dedicated to a culture of continuous quality improvement.
