At Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, we've got what you're looking for We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Principal Specialist/EE Comms to join our team in the Springfield area. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity of all program aspects, requiring hand-on efforts in testing, provisioning, and maintaining Communications equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of operational tradecraft, excellent communication skills, and a technical background in areas such as cellular networks, networking and cloud architectures.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee multiple strategic engineering developments for tailored communications capabilities supporting operational and administrative requirements while deployed.

Maintain awareness of commercial industry and proprietary communications capabilities to ensure a diversified portfolio of capabilities and mitigate UTS threats.

Provide technical provisioning and issuance of communications solutions, including tailored cellular phones, data pucks, cloud infrastructure, VPNs, simulated RF environments, PTT radios, Virtual Machines, and more.

Configure, test and maintain commercially manufactured hand-held radios operating in the VHF and UHF range.

Technical Skills:

Troubleshoot stand-alone equipment failures or network issues

Test and evaluate proprietary or commercial hardware and/or software

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot applications using Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems.

Basic understanding of networking and network infrastructure (LAN and WAN)

Communication Skills:

Convey information orally, via hard copy, SMS or email.

Specialized Skills:

Basic understanding of LINUX command line instructions:

Mount/dismount drives

Search files

Run commands, execute programs

Basic understanding of the Android operating system, including loading applications.

Familiarity with Motorola products, including radio programming software and radios.

Knowledge of low power RF used with Wi-Fi, Cellular transmissions and more.

Basic Understanding of commercial cloud services.

Ideal Candidate:

Strong understanding of operational tradecraft and technical background in areas such as cellular networks, networking and cloud architectures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Qualifications You Must Have:

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent is required, in absence of a diploma 5 years of relevant experience is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Must live in WMA area as no relocation is provided for this role.

Must have TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one of employment and must be eligible for crossover.
