Guidewire Developer

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Guidewire Developer to join their team for the development of a Java application called Product Builder. This new application will seamlessly integrate with the Guidewire platform, requiring expertise in Guidewire Policy Center and a focus on building microservices using Spring Boot and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the Product Builder application from the ground up, integrating it with the Guidewire platform

• Work with Guidewire Policy Center and handle Policy Center integrations

• Utilize the Spring Boot framework and NoSQL databases like MongoDB for project development

• Implement versioning capabilities for documents in a NoSQL database for fast save and retrieval operations

• Build microservices with a focus on reliability, low latency, and creating new services rather than modifying existing ones

• Leverage the Spring Integration framework for seamless integration points with Guidewire systems

• Use Groovy for XML and JSON serialization and deserialization to streamline code verbosity

• Apply behavior-driven testing, unit testing, and integration testing templates to ensure code quality and delivery acceleration

• Design solutions that prioritize code immutability, stateless management, and observability with Spring dependencies for metrics, logs, and traces

• Collaborate with team members to develop frameworks and abstractions, speeding up project delivery

Required Qualifications

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire and Guidewire Policy Center (On-Prem)

• Expertise in Guidewire application integration

• Proficiency in Spring Boot framework and building RESTful/web services

• Strong experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB

• Familiarity with Angular and design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java programming

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker

• Knowledge of Kafka (nice to have)

• Experience with the Drools Framework/Business Engine

Certifications

• Relevant certifications in Guidewire or Java development are a plus
