Department: Computerized Tomography CT

Shift timings: Night Shift 20:30 - 07:00 Hours Monday to Friday

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
  • Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
  • Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
  • Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12 week contract - WI Radiographer license needed
  • 7/70 position; EOW; EOH
  • GE experience needed, Siemens experience preferred
  • May need to float to sites within 40 miles if needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of CT Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited CT Tech program
  • Active unencumbered CT Tech Wisconsin state license
  • One year of Epic experience
