THE POSITION

Staccato seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our growing team. You will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in this role. This position will collaborate closely with operations, risk management, and insurance teams and support in a shared services environment across Staccato's subsidiaries. This role reports to the Director of People Operations.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily oversight of cross-entities EHS priorities, policies and procedures, risk identification, remediation, and audit coordination

• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, as well as a schedule of routine inspections.

• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.

• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.

• Monitors compliance with safety procedures and manages corrective actions.

• Responsible for incident investigation, incident management, reporting, and tracking process.

• Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.

• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and pollutants, as required.

• Guides, directs, and participates in all aspects of EHS risk assessment and the company's certifications (ISO standards, EPA, TCEQ)

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor's degree in environmental safety, occupational safety and health, or a related field is required.

• Five years of related experience is preferred. (manufacturing a plus)

• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
