Network Analyst

Summary: Supports company network operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and monitors network performance and security alerts
  • Provides network support and troubleshoots network related issues
  • Collaborates with senior network personnel to resolve complex network problems
  • Assists in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices such as Cisco or Meraki routers, switches, and access points
  • Performs routine upgrades and patches to network equipment and software
  • Supports cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve SD-WAN-related issues and ensure seamless connectivity for end-users
  • Participates in the integration of network infrastructure with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, to facilitate seamless connectivity and secure access to cloud resources
  • Documents network configurations and changes for reference and auditing purposes
  • Contributes to security assessments and audits to detect weaknesses and risks in the network infrastructure
  • Aids in the implementation of security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, and access controls to fortify the network against unauthorized access and cyber threats
  • Assists in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures
  • Stays informed about emerging technologies, trends, and threats in networking and cybersecurity
  • Conducts research and analysis to recommend innovative solutions for improving network performance and security
  • Participates in training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Travels to other Interface sites for support as required, ensuring consistent network performance across locations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager


Requirements:

Education: Associate degree in network technologies or equivalent experience; CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.

Experience: 2 - 4 years

Skills: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

Familiarity with network security principles and technologies (e.g., VPNs, encryption, SIEM) and with Cisco networking technologies. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Demonstrates through knowledge the principles, concepts, and theories of own discipline. Understands procedures, policies, practices, and systems. Displays broader business and organizational acumen. Communicates effectively and professionally. Prioritizes multiple issues efficiently.
