Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Therapist - Substance Abuse Specialist

Location: Wichita, KS

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-time/contract

Schedule: Flexible 20-40 hours/weekly

Salary: Will be determined by experience

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Therapist with a Substance Abuse license to provide therapy and support to individuals struggling with addiction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance abuse treatment and a commitment to helping clients achieve lasting recovery.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients with substance abuse issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the severity of substance abuse and appropriate treatment methods.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in substance abuse treatment.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) with a valid Substance Abuse license.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
  • Strong understanding of addiction and recovery processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
