Job Description: This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. ScopeAs a Janitor II you need to know how to: Maintain all floor surfaces. Dispose of all infectious and non-infectious waste. Be responsible for all furniture moving and set-up. Maintain all wall and ceiling surfaces, including lights. Maintain all entrances. Clean patient rooms and common areas. Dust all areas both high and low. Stock supplies for cart and room as required (including both laundry and housekeeper supplies). Demonstrate proficiency in the cleaning of beds and the Alaris IV Pump. Wash soiled linen. Sort clean linen. Fold clean linen and place in proper storage areas. Feed linen into mangle and fold on the mangle. Assemble unit packs. Deliver linen to inpatient rooms and ancillary departments. Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred- Current Friends and Family Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within six (6) months of hire- Basic computer skills, required- Related experience or training, preferred Physical Requirements: Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking Anticipated job posting close date: 08/28/2024 Location: St James Hospital Work City: Butte Work State: Montana Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
