Beds: 8 CVOR
Experience: RN, ORT, Surgical Assist - 2 years; Anesthesia Tech: 1 year
First-time traveler: No, would not recommend for first time travelers
On average 10 cases/day

Patient Types:
Cardio and Thoracic surgeries - CABG, TAVR, Valve replacements, Thoracic cases are robotic (lobectomy, hernia repair), Generator exchanges, Lead extractions, Heart transplants, Fem-pop bypass
Surgical team will always have (2) RN's per case - Circulator and Med RN - travelers will only circulate

Required Certifications:
RN: BLS
ORT: BLS; Graduation from accredited school (required); CST (preferred)
Surgical Assist: BLS, Graduation from accredited school (required); CSFA (preferred)
Anesthesia Tech: BLS

Skills required
Strong CVOR background is needed across all specialties - ability to work independently with minimal guidance in the following cases: CABG, TAVR, Valve replacements, Thoracic cases are robotic (lobectomy, hernia repair), Generator exchanges, Lead extractions, Heart transplants, Fem-Pop Bypass
Experience in fast paced environment

Anesthesia Tech: in addition to the above skills, must be able to operate machines for Blood Gasses, TEE's, and Ultrasounds - specific knowledge of certain machines isn't necessary, just know how to operate

Charting System/Equipment:
EPIC (required) - not required for Anesthesia Tech
