JOB REQUIREMENTS: Registered Dental Hygienist/Director of Operations: Looking for a registered dental hygienist who will also be the Director of Operations for Bridging Brighter Smiles. The Director of Operations will assist in furthering our mission to create a community where every child is given the opportunity to receive preventive oral care. Currently we have more than 18,000 children participating in the Bridging Brighter Smiles program and have nearly 30 clinical teams in the field. Director of Operations Role: - Clinically treat 2 days per week - Research, contact, and secure school districts - Establish and maintain relationships with dental practices, providers, local associations, technical schools, and vendors to cultivate our growing market needs - Responsible for dental office referral - Oversees Billing Department - Recruitment of office staff - Perform interviewing, hiring and dismissal duties as necessary - Recruitment of registered dental hygienists and dental assistants - Training new clinical staff - Secure clinical equipment & supplies - Retain existing relationships with our clinical teams - Provide input towards creation and planning of company policies and procedures - Plan and execute annual meeting - Attend school events to promote the program - HIPAA trainer and compliance director - Collaborate with different departments to create and send out a monthly clinical team newsletter Record and review patient medical histories. Feel and visually examine gums for sores and signs of disease. Examine gums, using probes, to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease. Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums, using dental instruments. Provide clinical services or health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients or the general public. Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist. Attend continuing education courses to maintain or update skills. Apply fluorides or other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay. Maintain dental equipment and sharpen and sterilize dental instruments. Feel lymph nodes under patient\'s chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - An active Wisconsin dental hygiene license - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, with confidence and resourcefulness with minimal supervision - Self-starter who has a sense of urgency and accountability - Comfortable working within a team environment - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal - Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs/Forms, and comfortable learning new software programs - Ethical at all times and demands the same in others - The ability to travel within the state is required.
