Overview: The Children's Home of Wyoming is seeking Full-time Child Welfare Caseworker in Goshen. The Child Welfare Caseworker is responsible for working effectively with clients, families, staff, and community contacts with a diversity of backgrounds and life situations. This role will provide support to families related to presenting needs and challenges identified through the treatment planning process. The goal of the Child Welfare Caseworker is to keep families together, while continually assessing for risk and safety issues. As a Child Welfare Caseworker, you will have the opportunity to help strengthen families, stabilize and maintain family functioning by: Providing counseling to families related to presenting needs and challenges Completing assessments- including but not limited to FASP, inputting progress notes into Connections. Providing face to face contact, transportation, case planning, and implementation of the case plan and ensure that other service providers do the same. Facilitating treatment planning conferences. Maintaining good relationships through collaboration and advocacy on client's behalf with DSS, community agencies, schools, and other service providers. Ensuring timely, accurate recording of all components of clients' records, including, progress notes, treatment planning conferences, case specific materials and family assessment and service plans. Maintaining a case load of 1:16 Skills required to perform this position: Good Communication Time Management Eagerness to Help Compassion Requirements; Physical Exam Reference Checks Drug Screening Own Car Class D NY State Valid License Background Check Bachelor Degree 1-year Experience Shift, Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, $21.00 to $23.00 hourly.
