Education:

• Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program

Experience / Qualifications:

• Registered ARDMS or ARRT(US)
• Vascular experience required, registry (RVT, RVS, CCI, or ARRT-Vascular US) required.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

Position Summary:

The Sonographer manages and performs all general cardiac ultrasounds; echocardiogram ultrasounds, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations.

• Demonstrates excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease and can communicate this to the Radiologist.

• The Sonographer is trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques.

• The Sonographer is capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
