Position Summary: The Assistant Case Manager works as a member of the team to provide well organized “aesthetically” pleasing” classrooms with superior curriculum and highly trained staff members in order to provide an environment that allows all clients the opportunity to acquire needed skills to advance socially and academically. The Assistant Case Manager will assist the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and all areas of management duties necessary to meet ABA program implementation, providing training and supervision for the Junior Instructors. Essential Job Functions: General Contributes to providing quality care for clients of Easter Seals in whatever capacity is required in accordance with skills and training. Maintains awareness of trends and evidence-based practices. Participates in Easter Seals meetings and on committees as required and appropriate. Knows, abides by and if appropriate enforces Easter Seals Policies and Procedures. Promotes unified, team-oriented atmosphere in all communications and actions. Leadership Provides training and supervisor for Junior Instructors as directed by the BCBA. Assists with training for Program Coordinators. Assists with ongoing staff trainings as directed by the Program Director and the BCBA Assists BCBA with on-going staff supervision. Assists with monthly and annual staff trainings. Provides training to staff assigned as mentors. Direct Services Works under the direction of a BCBA in implementing the treatment plan developed by the BCBA. Works independently with each assigned child in the clinic, home, school, or other assigned location on a regularly scheduled basis. Uses and develops appropriate instructional materials, which would benefit the child’s attainment of social, communicative, and behavioral goals. Provides feedback to the BCBA and family on interactions with the child. Ensures collection and graphing of data as directed by the BCBA. Coach family members and/or client in strategies and opportunities for incorporating new skills or techniques into normal routines and activities at home and other natural environments such as school or childcare center, church, a play group or relative’s home, etc. Instructs client and family members in the proper and safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology. Assists the BCBA in the development and maintenance of client treatment programs and data driven decision making. Assists the BCBA in coordinating services and makes appropriate referrals as needed. Assists the BCBA in staff and client supervision. Compliance Records client treatments, responses, and progress on designated forms. Completes all treatment progress notes and all other required records and paperwork in a timely manner according to stated policy. Develops and ensures maintenance of all client progress reports and documentation, in compliance with Easter Seals policy and procedure and all other applicable standards, requirements, laws, rules and regulations. Reviews client charts and documents the review according to Easter Seals policy and procedure for quality assurance on a biannual basis. Attends Plan of Care review meetings as required. Ensures client and family confidentiality by complying with Easter Seals policy and procedure, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility Act) requirements, and any other privacy requirements as may be specified by referral sources, funders or other licensing and regulatory entities. Ensures the safety and security of clients, staff, volunteers and visitors by knowing and following all safety procedures as required by Easter Seals policy and procedure and any other referral sources, funders or other licensing and regulatory entities, and understands the consequences of non-compliance. Training Assists in developing and presenting community education and/or training. Attends and participates in general staff meetings. Attends local and national conferences designed to further knowledge of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis and maintain certification requirements, if applicable. Attends professional development as required by licensing. Attends and passes CPR/First Aide as required by licensing. Customer Service Provides exceptional customer service, both internally and externally. Maintains an effective and professional working relationship with consumers and their families/care providers, co-workers and referral sources. Works and communicates as a member of a treatment team. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, studying an area related to Autism; Preferred major: Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, Psychology, or related field, preferred. Board Certified as an Assistant Behavior Analyst with a minimum of 1 year experience working with children with Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorders, preferred. Applicants that are not yet certified but working towards certification will be considered, however this credential must be obtained within six months of the effective date of this position. Must maintain all required certifications and necessary required trainings. Credentialed by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board as Registered Junior Instructor, if not Board Certified as an Assistant Behavior Analyst. Certified, by an approved provider, in Adult CPR with AED and Infant/Child CPR. Certified, by an approved provider, in Basic First Aid. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and other office equipment. Excellent organizational skills. Current valid driver's license, proof of insurance and a driving record that meets the standards of the agency.
