East Bay Community Action Program has an opportunity for a full-time RI licensed Physician to join our Health Center located at 100 Bullocks Point, Riverside, RI. This role provides direct medical services with a focus on acute care, health promotion, disease prevention, and routine health visits for all age groups.
Job Responsibilities
Examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
Administer or prescribe medications/treatments and discuss potential side with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
Educate patients regarding care, diagnoses, treatment plan, medications and prognosis.
Obtain specialty physician consultation for complicated patients or patients who are assessed to be outside the scope of EBCAP's practice.
Assist the operation of the Health Center to function as an integrated care model and synchronize with other EBCAP services.
Supervise allied health professionals (physician assistant, nurses, medical assistants, etc.) of the care team.
Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
MD or DO degree, and completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine. Licensure through the RI Department of Health, Board Certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
Prior experience in the care of neonates and infants, including both well-baby and assessment of women and newborns with acute illnesses, disorders and injuries.
Prior experience in women's health, including illnesses, disorders and injuries of the female reproductive and genitourinary systems.
Prior Experience in the Illnesses, disorders and injuries of patients of all ages as well as pre- and post-operative evaluation and care.
Recognition of psychiatric disorders in patients of all ages, emotional aspects of non-psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, alcoholism and other substance abuse.
Community issues, such as child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, elder abuse and neglect, disease prevention and disaster preparedness

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
