Job Title: Leasing Specialist

Position Summary: The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing and marketing all available apartments and related duties along with assisting the Site Manager in the general administration of the property. Our Leasing Specialists are the social center of our communities, forming strong bonds with our residents and their families through their daily interaction and support.

In our communities, staying upbeat and positive, exhibiting dedicated customer service and teamwork, and executing follow-through are critical to meeting the needs of our residents.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone calls
  • Showing apartments to prospective residents
  • Completing the processing of all applications
  • Marketing the property
  • Preparing reports
  • Maintaining general office files
  • Assisting in maintenance of work order system
  • Assist in keeping the apartment condition and status information current
  • Treat all guests in a kind, courteous, and professional manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests' expectations.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Site Manager
  • Assistance with above duties, as needed, at other Singh communities.

Job Requirements:
  • Prior leasing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fair housing laws
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Some college coursework preferred in marketing and/or general business studies or have at least 1 year of sales experience
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements including simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Occasional sitting, frequent walking, standing and climbing stairs.
