Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer in the Atlanta, GA area to join our dynamic team to support the onboarding and development of our Acquisition Managers within the corporate store function of HomeVestors of America (HVA). This role is essential for ensuring new hires are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform at a high level in property acquisitions, directly impacting our ability to acquire, renovate, and sell homes within the residential market. As a corporate entity partnered with HVA, our business revitalizes existing residential properties, providing affordable, renovated homes to new homeowners.
About the Role:
The Trainer will work closely with senior management and our market leaders, focusing on accelerating the learning curve for Acquisition Managers and aligning their practices with best-in-class acquisition standards. Candidates must have previous experience as an HVA franchisee owner or buyer, with a strong understanding of the organizational structure and optimal franchisee operations, to ensure relevant and impactful training. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000, plus an annual bonus.
Responsibilities
- Driving Results
- Develop and deliver targeted training programs to prepare Acquisition Managers for effective acquisition practices.
- Leverage prior HVA franchisee or buyer experience to model best practices and align new hires with corporate standards.
- Continuously assess performance, providing coaching to improve acquisition KPIs and drive productivity.
- Strategic Thinking
- Partner with senior leaders to design a strategic training framework that supports the corporate function.
- Analyze performance data and adjust training methods to align with the business' growth and productivity objectives.
- Leveraging Technology
- Continuously work on KPI monitoring and reporting to measure training impact and refine development areas.
- Collaborating & Influencing
- Engage with stakeholders across markets to build a supportive training environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for market leaders, providing updates on training progress and results.
- Experience: 5+ years in training or mentoring roles in real estate, construction, or property acquisition environments, with prior experience as an HVA franchise owner or buyer.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be willing to travel as needed to provide in-person training and support. However, most training will occur in your home city.
- Leadership Skills: Strong motivational skills to drive results and align the business' operations with best practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coach effectively and interact with various stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Critical thinking skills to identify training needs and adjust methods to suit the business' operations.
- Organizational Skills: Superior time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple programs.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in learning management systems, KPI tracking tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Reporting Structure:
The Trainer will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with market leaders and acquisition teams across our Centers of Excellence (to be in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Atlanta, Orlando, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas).
