LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accountant IV for a 3-month contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This exciting opportunity is based in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can excel in a dynamic and constantly changing business environment and demonstrate the flexibility needed to succeed in an innovative company. Primary duties include participating in the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing financial reports and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of various financial reports and reconciliations.
- Assist with ad hoc technical accounting projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with established internal controls.
- Collaborate with other business functions on projects and lead corporate initiatives towards process improvement.
- Prepare journal entries and account analysis for various US general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Conduct monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis.
- Prepare and present monthly reporting schedules to management, providing commentary and noting changes from prior periods.
- Support cross-functional teams, including revenue, tax, finance, and cost accounting, with journal entry posting and account analysis.
- Perform ad hoc technical accounting research and evaluation of non-recurring accounting transactions.
- Oversee the global account reconciliation process and conduct periodic quality reviews.
- Review journal entries and various account reconciliations to facilitate the month-end closing process.
- Conduct periodic global accounting team training on best practices for reconciliations and other key accounting topics.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with the accounting transformation team to build scalable and transformational processes.
- Assist in audit activities with internal and external auditors.
- Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects as required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting within a publicly traded company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX 404(b) compliance.
- Experience with global financial systems, preferably Oracle and SAP.
- Demonstrated experience with process and system automation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a good team player to solve problems and work with colleagues globally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of detail and quality, and adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience managing a team with a commitment to creating an environment that fosters career growth and development for the team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
- Passion for managing the implementation of technology and executing process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA license is required.
Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.50 per hour
