Maryville, TN In-Office/Non-Remote Position Overview: As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's network and systems infrastructure, ensuring its functionality, security, and efficiency. You will work closely with the IT team to support and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, implement infrastructure upgrades, and ensure the smooth operation of our network systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal network operation. Install, configure, and maintain servers, network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Perform regular network-related audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures. Implement and enforce network and system security policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and potential security breaches. Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and maintain network security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data privacy. Respond to network-related incidents and service request, diagnosing and resolving network issues in a timely manner. Maintain enterprise wide phone system, including configuration, upgrades, patching, and replacements. Collaborate with the IT team to provide technical support for network-related problems reported by end-users. Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Education and Experience: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience Professional certifications such as MCSE, Network+, CCENT, CCNA, etc. Proven work experience as a Network Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, etc.). Strong experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Experience with Enterprise phones systems, Mitel is a plus. Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Competencies and Skills: : Familiarity with network security principles and best practices. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands Must be able to stand, sit, stoop squat, walk Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment: Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
