Job Duties: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technician with expertise in CT surgery, with a preference for thoracic surgery experience. As a CVOR Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting cardiologists and ensuring the highest standard of patient care during cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CT surgery, with a preference for thoracic surgery expertise.
  • Complete patient intake processes, review physician orders, secure patient consents, and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Educate patients on emergency equipment, including the crash cart, defibrillator, oxygen flowmeter, mask, and cannulas, and demonstrate their proper use.
  • Safeguard, test, and maintain cardiology equipment; perform minor repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist cardiologists during complex cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and other invasive techniques.
  • Prepare equipment and appropriately position patients for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Provide personalized nursing care in pre- and post-operative situations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Job Requirements:
  • Education: CVOR Technician qualification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac surgery is required.
  • Certification: NBSTSA certification is mandatory.
  • License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
