Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Job Type: Contract with possibility for conversion or extension (6 months)

Job Location: Troy, MI

Work Schedule: Hybrid 2 days onsite, initially Tuesday and Thursday, some flexibility later.

The Software Engineer functions with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for
providing professional level software engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Design system processes, user interface(s), and ensure user experience meets requirements and expectations
  • Provide expertise on quality and software process improvement (SPI)
  • Collaborate to centralize systems & ensure horizontal deployment of knowledge/standards
  • Perform analysis to determine functional/user, and conceptual/logical/physical design requirements for system and user interface design and functionality
  • Software programming as needed to ensure system stability, usability, and functional requirements are met utilizing ASP.Net and C# languages
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure effective system deployment, including training, for all north American facilities.
  • Develop a proprietary IOT system, ensuring machine interoperability and centralized data aggregation
  • Partner with other facilities on best practices to improve Supply Chain costs/labor needed to support projects
  • Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
  • Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational success
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Computer Information Systems or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of three years in software development is required
  • Ability to program systems utilizing ASP.Net/Cloud SaaS and C# environments is required
  • Demonstrated experience with queries and triggers utilizing SQL and/or Oracle databases
  • Experience analyzing and documenting user/system requirements is required
  • Demonstrable experience working with Cloud, Web, and Local server development is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2016 or newer is required
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills with all staff and management are required
  • Effective attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills is required
